College Decision Day

College Signing Days is a national effort that we are officially launched the Nevada in 2018! We call these events, College Decision Days. These celebrations occur at the high schools during April, May, and June. It is during this time that most graduating seniors need to make a decision about their plans following high school.  These events are an opportunity for schools and communities to celebrate the “decisions” students have made to attend a college, university, career training program, or join the military.  Much like the celebrations that take place when student athletes commit to play for a particular college, we believe all students should be recognized for taking this important step for their future.

Events can take many forms. It is up to the individual school to determine how they will celebrate and acknowledge their students. There are some suggestions in the manual posted below but there is no right or wrong way to celebrate! This is a chance to be creative and customize a celebration for your students. We do ask that the whole school be involved in the celebration. This will reinforce a college going culture for younger students.
